Expanded March Mission Leadership Council, featuring visitors from Church Headquarters!

As many know, over the course of the past year, and with the arrival of so many Sister Missionaries into the ever-expanding missionary population, monthly leadership meetings - now Mission Leadership Councils - include Zone Leaders as well as Sister Training Leaders.  In large part, these councils present training to the mission's leaders and they in turn provide that instruction to missionaries in Zone Training.  In our Mission, the usual number of attendees is about 40 Elders and Sisters.

However, in the month of March we were especially blessed to have two very important visitors from Church Headquarters, specifically, from the Missionary Department.  They were Brothers Lee Donaldson and Shane Littlefield, both former Mission Presidents, who came to provide our mission insights and experience that would allow us to better serve as the Lord's missionaries among the people of the Alabama and Mississippi (and small parts of Tennessee).  Owing to the great training that they were expected to give, President Hanks invited an additional 60+ missionaries to this gathering so as to ensure that the greatest number could be trained and then go forth to train others more effectively.

Instead of the normal half-day of MLC, this was expanded to a full day - and we could have easily taken much more from these inspired and inspirational men.  MLC members left with many additional tools and techniques in addition to a renewed appreciation of we can improve as missionaries every day.

Loved previous posts as well, especially Sister Hanks teaching about table settings. Maybe she should do a training about cleaning apartments. LOL
